SEMINARS AND KEYNOTES

Dr. John Q. Baucom and the CAPI staff are committed to your success. This commitment includes strengthening leadership performance via:

  • Seminars—pragmatic, results-oriented, customized leadership devolopment programs.
  • Keynotes—entertaining, humorous, and inspirational speeches with an emphasis on helping people achieve results.
  • Customized Consultations—when a problem exists that needs an immediate resolution without an educational program.

CAPI—There is a Distinctive Difference.

The CAPI staff is composed of people committed to results-oriented, pragmatic creativity. They have collectively published 13 original books and over one hundred original workbooks for special client needs.

The unique difference CAPI presents can be easily distinguished—

  • The CAPI team is comprised of management consultants who get paid for their results. They are not people who have memorized a speech and present it repeatedly.
  • All of CAPI’s material is customized to blend with your specific culture.
  • CAPI does not focus on traditional motivation. Its focus is on implementation and obtaining results.
  • CAPI is one of few organizations that can conduct entertaining and informative seminars that can continue up to multiple dates if needed.

Seminars

Most seminars last a minimum of four hours and can continue as long as needed. The topic list is determined by your specific needs. CAPI seminars are entirely and exclusively customized. This is distinctive from the “seminar-in-a-box” concept familiar to most companies. CAPI's seminar process begins with an in-depth interview and needs assessment.

Example 1: For one company, CAPI staff worked with leadership personnel ranging from the CEO to supervisors in an ongoing leadership development program. This program began with a one-day seminar and resulted in a series of seminars with company leadership personnel in over twenty locations.

Example 2: CAPI has conducted customized seminars for other companies on such topics as “How to Have an Award-Winning Family While Winning Awards at Work,” “Leadership and Laughter—How Leaders Can Use Humor to Improve Communication,” and “Attracting, Motivating, and Retaining World-Class Employees.”

Keynotes

Keynotes are usually a minimum of forty-five minutes and may last up to two hours as needed. They are distinctive from seminars with their emphasis on entertainment and inspiration. As with seminars, each keynote is customized.

Example: At one company’s annual sale’s conventions, CAPI staff spoke on “How to Succeed More, Live Longer, and Be Happier than Elvis.” The keynote proved enjoyable for the audience, consisting of over five hundred people. More importantly, the audience members were much wiser when they left. Anecdotes for this keynote were taken from Dr. Baucom’s book, The Elvis Syndrome: How to Avoid Death by Success.

Customized Consultations

When a speech or seminar is not appropriate and an immediate resolution is vital, a customized consultation is often the best strategic solution. During these consultations, urgent problems get pragmatically and powerfully solved.

Example: A small corporation was in a crisis because of employee turnover. They feared that within weeks they would be forced to close down due to lack of staff. CAPI consultants responded immediately and implemented a series of mutually agreed upon interventions that reversed the trends and resulted in this company having one of the best retention rates in the industry.
