The late broadcaster Howard Cosell once described John as the worlds greatest leading authority on the
unique problems of high achievers. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop, Senator Bill Bradley, and Joe Theisman
are a few of the notables with whom John has shared the speaker's podium. He has appeared with Regis Philbin,
Joan Lunden, Zig Ziglar, Mary Tyler Moore, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Gladys Knight, and former Secretary of State
Alexander Haig.
In addition, John has written speeches for presidents of various major corporations, as well as the Reagan
White House.
He has been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Sally Jesse Raphael, CNN, and many other
television programs. John has been interviewed on NPRs All Things Considered, Mutual Networks The
Jim Bohannon Show, and literally hundreds of other radio talk shows around the world.
John has written thirteen books, including The Leaders Journey series, The Elvis Syndrome: How to Avoid Death by Success, and
Baby Steps to Success. He has been quoted in over 120 newspaper and magazine articles, and has coauthored
works with Vince Lombardi, Jr.
Dr. Baucom is no stranger to the struggles faced by people and organizations. A former Marine Corps officer and
paratrooper, he spent two tours of combat duty in Vietnam and earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star with V, and the
Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry. He has earned black belts in two martial arts disciplines. John has been a business
owner since 1983.
